Jane is a portrait artist creating colourful, representational works of art. She graduated from the University Of Western Ontario with her Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree in 1983. After graduating her focus was on painting. She became known for her large acrylic portraits.
In 1986, Jane attended George Brown College studying Commercial Art. She established a fulfilling career as a graphic designer upon graduation. Painting and drawing continued, but production was limited to a few pieces per year. In 2017 Jane retired from the design industry and is now pursuing her passion of becoming a full-time artist.
Staying connected with other artists is important to Jane and she has joined several artist’s organizations. She has shown her new work in juried exhibitions across Canada, participated in group shows locally, and had two solo shows in Port Stanley.
Jane lives in Belmont, Ontario with her husband and daughter. Her work is in private art collections throughout Ontario and the United States.
